Béliveau

Jean Béliveau was one of the greatest hockey players of all time. From 1950 to 1971, he was an exemplary businessman, captain, celebrity, husband, father and a consummate gentleman. His life story mirrors that of the legendary Quebec-Montreal rivalry. It’s the story of the Quiet Revolution, with French Canadians' power takeover, the modernization of hockey, players standing up to the managers of the league and the making of a national hero.

The series recounts Mr. Béliveau’s life as he transitions from the “As de Quebec” to the Montreal Canadiens. Focusing on his loyalty, respect, decency, resilience and incredible adaptability, this series includes five episodes. Learn how a boy from Victoriaville grew into a hockey legend.
